Worship + Waffles: Ladies Night Recap
Woah, where to begin?! This event was a dream. But, let's take it back to how this event came to be. First off, we have a lot of awesome small businesses in the area. One, in particular, is Harvest Waffles. Harvest Waffles offers healthy, gluten free + vegan waffles, and we must add that they are the most delicious waffles we have ever tasted!
We have been wanting to work with Harvest Waffles for quite some time, but never really got the chance to do so until recently. Kenzie Kober is the creator and founder of Harvest Waffles. But, that's not all she does! Although Kenzie is from the area, she has been residing in California where she spreads the love of Jesus in her ministry work there. When we saw that Kenzie was coming home for the month of August, we knew we had to reach out to see if she'd be interested in popping up in our shop! Thankfully, she was interested, and we are so stoked to have had the chance to meet Kenzie and have her pop-up in our shop! Her love for Jesus and community is truly so inspiring!
One of the many things we wanted to do when starting Mill + Gray was create a space where we can build a community of women supporting women, a space where we can all come together and eliminate competition and just be there for one another. We want to build a sense of sisterhood amongst our customers in hopes of creating a community of women supporting women— leading and supporting each other in our dreams and what God has for each of us. We have so many ideas and plans for our new space and one of them is hosting events and different things to allow women to come together to build those relationships and to learn, grow, love, and support one another every step of the way. God has a plan for each and every one of us, and we want you to embrace it!
After sharing our dreams with one another and how we got to where we are today, Kenzie and I realized a lot of our dreams and goals aligned with one another. And, Kenzie immediately had a vision of women coming together in our shop to worship Jesus. And, the rest is history! No, really though, it was an incredible vision that I saw as well, and, even though it was something we didn't have much time to prepare for, it felt so right! So beyond grateful + honored to have had this be our first of many events! It really is what Mill + Gray is all about — Jesus and women supporting one another! Man, such a great thing. So full of gratitude for all that God has done for us and blessed us with. We really want this business to honor and glorify God, and we couldn't think of a better way to start than a night full of worship + waffles + awesome women coming together!
The night started with a sort of meet and greet amongst all of the women. Women were able to connect, reconnect, meet, and hang. Then, worship was led by two incredible women, Jade LaFleur and Madison Bothe. Next, Kenzie gave a word and back story and introduced our guest speaker, Madison Bothe from Brave Love Women. Madison gave an incredible word to help empower women in such a way that left us all inspired to live boldly as catalysts for Jesus! This starts with first being intimate with our Savior!
Man, it was such a moving, loving, and Jesus filled experience! It brought tears to our eyes and many that were there. Our hearts were full of such gratitude and love. The night ended in prayer, shopping, and more hanging + connecting with all of the women there! So much fun! The night was filled with lots of love, worship, waffles, and incredible women!
After reflecting on the night, all we can think is how awesome is our God?! And, wow, what an incredible community of women we have in the area. Like real incredible, loving, and supportive women. This is what it’s all about. We thought the dream was having the storefront, but this is the dream- women coming together loving + supporting one another while honoring and glorifying God every step of the way. Gosh, that’s the dream, that’s the goal. We will forever be so grateful and so honored to have had the chance to host this event and we hope to do it again in the future!

And, to all of those that attended the event, we cannot thank you enough! It truly means so much. We are so thrilled to have met you, and can't wait to see all of you again!
